Ernest C. Hand Ernest was in the Army Air Corps during World War II, and belonged to the American Legion Post #107 for 68 years. He worked many years with the railroad and also enjoyed farming his land in Carmel. Ernest was a kind and generous man. He is survived by a daughter and her husband, Rebecca and Richard Cormier of Gray; 2 grandsons, Patrick Murphy and his wife, Lori and their son, Jackson all of Hampden, and Michael Cormier of Augusta; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Kathleen "Kay" Hand in 2005. Graveside services with military honors will be held 2 PM, Thursday, July 5, 2012 at the Highland Cemetery in Carmel with Pastor Lunette George officiating.
