ERWIN E. "MAC" MCALLISTER
ABBOT, Erwin E. “Mac” McAllister of Abbot, 90, went to eternal rest on May 16, 2007, at Hibbard’s Nursing Home in
Dover-Foxcroft. He was born to Charles Edward Sherman McAllister and Gladys S. Chadbourne McAllister of Moscow,
Maine on April 22, 1917. He was a kind and gentle man who gave much to his family and community, having served on
Abbot Board of Selectman, the County ASCS Board of Directors and Boy Scout troop leader. He served many years with
the Maine Inland Fish & Wildlife Dept. as game warden. Through retirement, he took great joy in his family and working his
small farm. As a long time member of American Tree Farm system, his woodland bolding were of great pride and many hours
of enjoyment to him. He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 50 years, Janice A. McAllister of Abbot; and his five sons,
Chris Harrington of Greenville, Mike Harrington & family of Readfield, Steve Harrington & family of Greenville, Alvin
McAllister & family of Abbot, and Brad McAllister & family of Pittsfield; his granddaughter by first marriage, Debbie Gamache
& family of Greenville; brothers, Miland Gilbert McAllister & family of Otisfield, Urban Wallace McAllister & family of Solon,
and Theron Calvin McAllister & family of Bristol, NH; and a sister, Mauna S. Porter & family of Standish. He was
predeceased by his parents, brothers, Loren Stub McAllister & Telford Leslie McAllister, and a sister, Myrna G. Keaton. At
