OBITUARIES

ERWIN E. "MOOSE" EDGECOMB
DEXTER, Erwin E. "Moose" Edgecomb, 61, died April 13, 2007, at a Dover-Foxcroft hospital. He was born February 15, 1946, in Limestone, son of James and Gertrude (Burgess) Edgecomb. He worked at Dexter Shoe Company for 17 years and later worked at Hartland Tannery for several years until his retirement He was a past member of the IOOF Lodge #65 in Dexter.

Erwin was an avid sportsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and 4-wheeling, which he enjoyed with his friends the Perkins family. He also loved draft horses and horse pulling.

He is survived by 4 sisters, Doris Hartford and her husband, Ronald of N. Dexter, Betty Tremblay and her husband, Charles of Newport, Brenda Watson of Sangerville and Cindy Simonds and her friend, John Reynolds of Corinna; special sister-in-law, Beverly Edgecomb of Dexter; many nieces and nephews, including a special nephew and his wife, Michael and Tina Tremblay of Newport, who were also his caregivers during his illness; and many special friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, two sisters, Mary Chabot and Sarah Levasseur; 2 brothers, Sonny, and James.

A celebration of his life will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 19, 2007 at Crosby & Neal, 61 Main St., in Dexter, with Pastor David Ray Sr. officiating. Friends may call from 1:00 PM until the time of the service. Burial will be later in the spring at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Dexter.
