ESTHER HANSEN
GREENVILLE JCT.- Esther Hansen, 88, went home to be with the Lord August 11, 2008. She was born Sept. 14, 1919, in Brooklyn, NY, daughter of Anders and Anna (Simonsen) Andersen. She was raised in Brooklyn, New York, and moved to New City, New York in 1946. Esther worked as a bookkeeper for Coyle and Coyle Insurance Co. After retirement she and her husband, Arthur H. Hansen, moved to Apple Valley, California. Following her husband's death, Esther moved to Greenville Jct. with her son, David and his wife, Marsha in 2003. A strong christian woman, her faith was the most important aspect of her life. She was also well known for her baking, especially her cakes and Norwegian Christmas Cookies.

She is survived by 2 sons, Warren Hansen of NY, and David Hansen and his wife, Marsha of Greenville Jct.
