EVA M. HENDERSON
NORTH NEWPORT and ABBOT - Eva M. Henderson, 95, the wife of the late Bernard R. Henderson, died Aug. 21, 2006, in Davenport, Fla., after a long illness. She was born Dec. 17, 1910, in Winterville, the daughter of Larry and Josephine (Marquis) Roy. She attended schools in Winterville and Eagle Lake, and resided in North Newport with her husband for 39 years, in Abbott for about 10 years and moved to Davenport, Fla., nearly five years ago. She had been a member of the Corinna United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, the Cleora Rebekah Lodge of Corinna, the Happy Hour Club of Corinna, the Corinna Senior Citizens and the Craft Club of Newport.

She is survived by two sons, Dale Henderson and his wife, Betty, of Abbott and Richard and his wife, Nancy, of Haines City, Fla.; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Graveside memorial services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 1, at the Morses Corner Cemetery, Corinna with the Rev. Ray Beless officiating. Arrangements are by Thompson Funeral Home, 30 St. Albans Road, Corinna.
