FAIRFIELD B. "MICKEY" WELLS
SANGERVILLE- Fairfield B. “Mickey” Wells, 71, died December 26, 2008 at C.A. Dean Hospital in Greenville, following a short illness, surrounded by his family. He was born March 13, 1937, in Sherman, son of George and Sarah (Lane) Wells.

He was a Sergeant in the US Army and served in Germany following WWII. He worked as a trucker for all of his life, and for the past 8 years he had been working for Boothbay Regional Refuge and Disposal Facility.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Angela (Carlow) Wells of Sangerville; 5 sons, Thomas Wells and his wife, Kathy of Benton, Randy Spaulding of Dover-Foxcroft, Darrell Spaulding and his wife, Shannon of Sangerville, Cory Wells and his wife, Jennifer of Newnan, Tony Wells and his wife, Michelle of Oxford; 2 daughters, Tina Golden and her husband, Gary of Monson, and Kathy LaBelle and her husband, Mike of Bradford; 16 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a son, Frankie Wells in 1986.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 PM, Tuesday, December 30, 2008, at Crosby & Neal, 21 Oak Street in Guilford. Funeral services will be held 1 PM, Wednesday at the funeral home with spring burial in the Sherman Mills Cemetery.
