GEORGE G. SCHNELLER, SR.
NEWPORT-George G. Schneller, Sr., 92, died July 24, 2009 at a Pittsfield hospital. He was born March 9, 1917 in the Bronx, New York City, New York, a son of Adolph and Florence (Gordon) Schneller.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Margaret of Newport; 3 sons, George, Jr. and wife Kathy of New York City, Edward and wife Linda of Newport, and William of Long Island, New York; 3 daughters, Margaret and husband Albert Ravis of Potstown, PA, Joan and husband William Ackerson of Highland, NY, and Alice and husband James Schreiner of Breezy Point, NY; a sister, Doris Langan of Pasadena, CA; 13 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Friends called Sunday at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main Street, Newport, where funeral services were held Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Father Mark Nolette officiating.
