GEORGE L. FITZGERALD
DEXTER – George Fitzgerald, 87, died unexpectedly in Sangerville. He was born August 14, 1921 in Lowell, MA, a son of Augustine and Sarah (Pendergast) Fitzgerald. George was a veteran of World War II, and retired from the Air Force. He was a glass blower by trade and was employed by Sperry-Rand in Long Island. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and enjoyed woodworking in his garage. He attended the Church of The Nazarene in Bangor.

He is survived by a daughter Sarah and husband Darin Hanscome of Ripley; a son Warren and wife Mary Fitzgerald of Guilford; a brother Ed and sister Evelyn; 3 grandchildren; and his companion Dot Myers of Bangor.

A memorial service will be held 2 PM Tuesday, September 2nd, at the Church of The Nazarene, Union Street, Bangor. A graveside committal service will be held 1 PM Friday, September 5th, at the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, (new Cemetery on Mt. Vernon Street) Augusta.

A reception will be held at 5 PM at the home of Sarah and Darin Hanscome, 121 Chandler Hill Road, Ripley.
