GERALD G. "JERRY" HIBBARD
MONSON, Gerald G. “Jerry” Hibbard, 58, died December 15, 2003, at a Bangor hospital. He was born May 4, 1945, in Madison, son of George and Geraldine (Bowring) Hibbard. He served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam era. After the service he worked in the local area in retail sales. He served in the area fire departments for over 20 years, including serving as the Chief in Monson. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Guilford.

He is survived by his wife, Juanita (Leighton) Hibbard of Monson; his mother of Madison; 3 sons, Mike Libby of Skowhegan, Mark Libby of Mass., Michael Douglass of Oakland; 4 daughters, Kim Fortini of Mass., Sherry Dawes of Skowhegan, Melanie Hibbard of Monson, Stephanie Douglass of Oakland; 10 grandchildren; 3 sisters, Janice Lutgen of Colorado, Linda Cates of Sanford, Gail Moore of Skowhegan.

A memorial service will be held 1 PM Monday, December 22, 2003, at the United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Margaret “Dodie” Stowe and Pastor Ryan Henderson officiating. In lieu of flowers those who wish may make donations to the Monson Fire Dept., P.O. Box 308, Monson, ME 04464.

Graveside committal services will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, May 15, 2004, at Forest Hills Cemetery in Madison with the Rev. Dr. Margaret "Dodie" Stowe officiating. Arrangements by Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, Guilford.
