GERALDINE B. NICKSE
NEWPORT—Geraldine B. Nickse, 78, passed away December 28, 2007 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s, surrounded by her family at a Orono health care facility. She was born April 13, 1929 at Hartland, a daughter of Charles and Lillian Melba (Neal) Shaw.

Jerry is survived by her husband of 47 years, Warren H. Nickse of Newport; 3 children, Mindy Carr and husband Dennis of Lee, Michael Cleaves and friend Jan Bryant of Stetson, and Debra Stone and husband Ken of Newport; grandchildren, Jennifer Cloutier of Corinna, Jason Cleaves of Stetson, Christopher Carr of Brewer, Rochelle Cleaves of Brewer, Katie Trask and Abigail Stone both of Newport; great grandchildren, Gavin, Braden and Anna Carr of Brewer, Brian Cleaves of Stetson and Carrson Cloutier of Corinna; 3 sisters, Lucy Mooers of Waterville, Donna Friend of Newport, and Norma Davis of Parkman. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by 2 sisters, 2 brothers, as well as a grandson, Michael W. Trask.

At Jerry’s request there will be no funeral service. Private arrangements will be held at the convenience of the family.
