GERTRUDE P. MCDONALD
ABBOT, Gertrude P. McDonald, 85, died February 19, 2008, at Dexter Health Care. She was born December 2, 1922, in Guilford, daughter of Harley and Nettie (Ferro) Taylor. She worked as a weaver for Guilford Industries for many years. She enjoyed doing crafts and yard work, and even did her own carpentry, including building her own screens and doors.

She is survived by her children, Ronald Taylor and his wife, Marcia of NH, Lynda Smart and her husband, Jesse of Cambridge, Alvin McDonald Jr. and his fiancé, Nancy Crabtree of Guilford, Larry McDonald and his companion, Debbie of CT; a sister, Edna Sanborn of Guilford; many grandchildren, nieces and nephews including a special nephew, Malcolm Marsh of Guilford.

Spring graveside services will be held at the Lawn Cemetery in Guilford. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 51 U. S. Route 1, Suite M, Scarborough, Maine 04074.
