GRACE F. MERRILL
STETSON - Grace F. Merrill, 66, died May 3, 2001 after a short illness. She was born July 17, 1934 at Stetson the daughter of Everett and Elva (Daniels) Dempsey. She was a graduate of Corinna Union Academy. Grace was employed at Dexter Shoe Company in Dexter and Newport for 21 years. She was predeceased by her husband, William P. Merrill, Sr. in 1973.

She is survived by her son, William P. Merrill, Jr. of Stetson; 3 daughters, Barbara Fricks and Esther Christianson, both of California, and Marilyn Page of Stetson; 2 sisters, Evelyn Gray of Dixmont and Laura Holton of Limestone; 6 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 3 P.M. Wednesday, May 9th, at Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 117 Main Street, Newport, with the Rev. Gertrude Stone officiating. Friends may call from 2 to 3 P.M at the funeral home. Burial will be in the family lot, Clark's Hill Cemetery, Stetson. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 52 Federal Street, Brunswick, ME 04011. Envelopes will also be available at the funeral home.
