HAROLD E. CLOUKEY
NEWPORT Harold E. Cloukey, 76, died unexpectedly February 20, 2002 at a Bangor hospital. He was born May 24, 1925 at Wallagrass the son of Simon and Gertrude (Bouchard) Cloukey. He owned and operated apartment houses, an antique business, and a used furniture store in Hartford, CT before moving to Newport in 1977. He was an avid gardener. Harold was a communicant of St. Agnes Parish.

He is survived by his wife Rita of Newport; 4 children, Dennis and wife Michelle Cloukey of Bath, Marlene and husband Harry Wynkoop of Morrisville, NC, Lorene and husband Greg Jackson of Schenectady, NY, and Carol White of Rapid City, SD; a sister Delores Cloukey of South Windsor, CT; 28 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren.

Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Sunday at Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 117 Main Street, Newport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 AM Monday, February 25th, at St. Agnes Church, 50 Detroit Avenue, Pittsfield with the Rev. Father Robert Bouchard officiating. Spring burial will be in the family lot, Riverside Cemetery, Newport. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O.
