Hazel A. (Jones) Gordon
DEXTER – Hazel A. (Jones) Gordon, 90, wife of the late Donald E. Gordon, went home to be with her Lord February 16, 2013. She was born January 11, 1923 in Wellington, the daughter of William and Bertha (Damon) Jones. She attended schools in Wellington, Brighton and Athens.

She was a member of the First Free Baptist Church since 1963, where she served as a Sunday School teacher and in the MOPS program. Hazel was a member of the Shirley B. Carter Post V. F. W. Auxiliary. She was employed seven years at Eastland Woolen Mill in Corinna, where she met her husband Don; six years at St. Dominic’s Nursing Home as a nurse’s aide; and over twenty years at Dexter Shoe Company. Hazel loved spending time with her family, flower gardening, reading, traveling, knitting and crocheting.

She is survived by a son, Thomas and wife Rosalie Gordon of Newport; 3 daughters and their husbands, Lois and Jim Crawford of Brunswick, Donna and Chuck Patterson of Dexter, and Sandra and Richard Thomas of Dover-Foxcroft; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; many cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held 2 P.M. Saturday, February 23rd at Crosby & Neal, 61 Main Street, Dexter, with the Rev. Leonard Reiss officiating. Friends may call from 1 P.M. until the time of services. Spring burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter.
