HELEN M. WILLIS
NEWPORT Helen M. Willis, 73, beloved wife of Harvey E. Willis, passed away February 12, 2002 at a Pittsfield hospital after a long illness. She was born October 30, 1928 at Boston, MA the daughter of Michael and Mary (Gibbons) Carroll. She attended Boston schools and was a member of the V. F. W. Post #2125 of Bridgewater, MA. Prior to moving to Maine, Helen and Harvey operated veteran's boarding homes in Bridgewater and Brockton, MA.

She is survived by her husband of Newport; her children, Sandra and husband, Robert D. Slater of Bridgewater, MA, Donna and husband, Wayne M. Garrod of Newport, Richard L. McCaul of Sealy, TX, Barry P. and wife, Jane McCaul of Plymouth and Wayne J. McCaul of Brockton, MA; stepchildren, Donna and husband, Ronnie Fabiani of N. Newport, NH and Sandy Gowan of Hanson, MA; sisters, Elizabeth Pearson of Newport and Rose Hough of Hunnington Park, CA; 15 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, 3 sisters and a brother.

Friends may call 6 to 9 P. M. Friday, February 15th at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 117 Main Street, Newport where funeral services will be held 1 P.M. Saturday with Pastor Al H. Worden officiating. Spring burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Newport.
