Henry D. Godsoe
PLYMOUTH—Henry D. Godsoe, 79, died October 25, 2012 at a Togus hospital. He was born November 14, 1932 in Passadumkeag, a son of Livingston and Noretta (Harris) Godsoe, Sr. He served 4 years in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and also served for 4 years in the U. S. Air Force. On April 28, 1956, he married Norma Buchanan.

Henry was a self-employed finish carpenter and contractor. He enjoyed making and giving gifts such as birdhouses and cribbage boards.

He is survived by a son, Rev. Dr. Courtney and wife Ester Godsoe of the Philippines; 3 daughters, Coreen Sylvester and Pamela Godsoe, both of Carmel and Bonny and husband George London of Troy; 2 brothers, Ronald and wife Nancy Godsoe of Newport and Lee and wife Janet Godsoe of East Newport; a sister, Sylvia Worthing of Howland; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Norma on January 2, 2012.

Friends may call from 3 to 5 P.M. Sunday, October 28th at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main Street, Newport, where funeral services will be held 1 P.M. Monday with his son, the Rev. Dr. Courtney Godsoe officiating. Burial will be in Sawyer Cemetery, Plymouth.
