HENRY "BUTCH" BUXTON
CORINNA, EXETER & DEXTER Henry E. Buxton, 63, died July 19, 2001 at a Bangor hospital. He was born July 30, 1937 at Corinna the son of Raymond and Clara (King) Buxton, Sr. He graduated from Corinna Union Academy, Class of 1956. He served in the U. S. Navy from 1956 to 1960, stationed primarily in Panama. He retired from the Dexter Shoe Company.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Lou (Downing) Buxton of Dexter; 1 son, Raymond Scott Buxton and his wife Tracey, of Exeter; 1 sister, Peggy Veazie and husband Keith of Portland; 1 sister-in-law, Ruth Buxton of Strong; 2 grandchildren, Travis and Erica. He was predeceased by his brother Raymond, Jr., "Eaf", his parents Raymond and Clara Buxton, and a special aunt, Kate Mullen.

Funeral services will be held 1 P.M. Sunday, July 22nd, at North Newport Christian Church. Friends may call at the church from noon until the time of services. Burial will be in North Newport Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1 Main Street, Suite 300, Topsham, ME 04086.
