OBITUARIES

HILDA ROSE KING
ROCKWOOD- Hilda Rose King, 98, died December 23, 2010, at Hibbard Nursing Home in Dover-Foxcroft. She was born May 4, 1912, in St. Comme, Beauce, Quebec, Canada, daughter of George and Elmire (Jenesse) LaRochelle.

She grew up in the Jackman area and then spent much of her life in Rockwood. She married Joseph A. King, and she along with her husband, owned and operated sporting camps in Rockwood. Hilda and her husband traveled extensively around the country, competing in various sporting shows.

She was a communicant of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rockwood for many years, and now is a communicant of Holy Family Catholic Parish.

She is survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins, including Albert and Alice Theriault of Rockwood ,with whom she made her home for the past several years; and a close cousin, Gemma Tanguay of Greenville.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Holy Family Catholic Church in Greenville, 10 AM Tuesday, December 8, 2010, with spring burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Rockwood.
