OBITUARIES

INEZ M. BROWN
GARLAND & WINTHROP – Inez M. Brown, 79, passed away peacefully following a long illness on December 22, 2008 at Winthrop Manor with her family at her side. She was born January 11, 1929 in Oakland a daughter of Ernest and Ermina (Perkins) Brown, and attended Oakland schools.

She was predeceased by her husband Raymond in 1990, a son Sterling in 2005, and a daughter Brenda in 1966. She was also predeceased by 2 brothers, Ernest, Jr. “Jake” and Crosby “Peanut” Brown; and a sister, Louise Wishart.

Inez was employed at Eastland Woolen Mill in Corinna, retiring in 1972. She was a member of the Garland Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and was an avid beano player. She also enjoyed crafts, Country music, canning and all her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by a son Stephen and wife Becky Brown of Corinna; 3 daughters, Sheila and husband Chuck Taylor of Marlboro, MA, Cynthia and husband George Estabrook of Winthrop, Paula and husband Daniel Little of Falmouth; 25 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. She will also be missed by friends, cousins, an aunt and neighbors.

Friends may call from 3 to 5 PM Friday, December 26th, at Crosby & Neal Funeral Chapel, 68 Exeter Road, Corinna, where funeral services will be held at 5 P.M. with Pastor A. Maurice Neal officiating.

Spring burial will be in the West Garland Cemetery.
