IVAN "GRAMPY" CROCKER He loved music and played in the community band. He later built and played drums at the Melody Lane dance hall. Ivan raised his family on the family farm in St. Albans, and later drove truck for a variety of trucking companies. He was a fifty year member of the St. Albans Volunteer Fire Department and remained an active member up until his illness. Ivan was well known for his cute stories he told at visiting fireman suppers. He was a member of the Corinthian #95 Masonic Lodge in Hartland. He also belonged to the Farm Bureau and the St. Albans Grange. Ivan also enjoyed painting and his home is adorned with his work. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Evelyn (Dickey) Crocker; four sons, David and Susan, Michael and Arlene, Richard and Linda, all of St. Albans, and Steven and Stephanie of Winchester, California; 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Jeane and husband George Martin of Brattleboro, VT, Nellie and husband Blaine Tibbetts of Newport. Ivan was predeceased by a brother, E. Carl Crocker; and 2 sisters, Thelma Patterson Smith, and Muriel Nelson. A celebration of his life will be held 1 PM Sunday, November 5th, at the St. Albans Fire Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the St. Albans Fire Department, P.O.
