JAMES A. CANNON
DOVER-FOXCROFT - James A. Cannon, 49, died unexpectedly Feb. 19, 2006, at his home. He was born Dec. 9, 1956, in Dover-Foxcroft, the son of Joseph and Alice (Billings) Cannon. Jim attended schools in Dover-Foxcroft and graduated from Foxcroft Academy, Class of 1976. A U.S. Army veteran, he worked as a truck driver for Carlen Transport. Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing, NASCAR and especially spending time with family and friends in his home.

He is survived by his mother, Alice of Dover-Foxcroft; three brothers, Stephen and his wife, Sharon, of Eastport, Joseph Jr. and his wife, Janet, of Hudson, Peter and his wife, Susan, of Atkinson; a sister, Susan Robinson and her husband, Francis, of Dover-Foxcroft; several nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by several long-time friends.

Friends are invited to call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, at the Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft, where funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, with the Rev. James Colley, officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the SAM (Sportsman's Alliance of Maine) Headquarters Project, 205 Church Hill Rd., Augusta, ME 04330.
