OBITUARIES

JAMES K. GUDROE
DEXTER- James K. Gudroe, 48, died unexpectedly April 12, 2008, at a Dover-Foxcroft hospital. He was born October 15, 1959, in Dexter, son of Richard and Madeline (Judkins) Gudroe.

Jim worked for the Maine Dept. of Transportation for over 29 years. He served for 5 years on the Garland Fire Dept. and for 16 years on the Dexter Fire Dept. and was currently serving his 2nd year as Dexter Fire Chief. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and will be dearly missed by his wife, family, and friends.

He is survived by his father, Richard "Keith" Gudroe of Dexter; his wife, Julie (Bonito) Gudroe of Dexter; 2 daughters, Mandee and her husband, Steve Brown and their 2 children, Caden and Addy of Dexter, and Jaimie Gudroe of Bangor; a stepson, Brandon Emerson of Dexter; 3 brothers, Rod and his wife, Barb of Palmyra, Dick and his wife, Tressa, and Mike and his wife, Faith, all of Dexter.

He was predeceased by his mother, Madeline "Tiny" Gudroe and his first wife, Patti.

Friends may call Friday, April 18, 2008, from 2 to 4, and 6 to 8 PM at Crosby & Neal, 61 Main Street in Dexter. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Saturday, at Dexter Regional High School with Pastor Will Walters officiating, and honors to be given by the Dexter Fire Dept. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Dexter, later in the spring.
