C. JAMES RUSSELL WARD
ABBOT- James Russell Ward, 60, died January 15, 2010, at a Dover-Foxcroft hospital. He was born February 14, 1949, in Maywood, CA, son of Cecil and Marguerite (Van Buskirk) Ward.

He loved life and enjoyed people, especially his extended family at the Charlotte White. Jim spent many happy days at the Abbot Group Home, and enjoyed working and helping at the Abbot Post Office. He received many medals from his participation in the Special Olympics.

He is survived by his mother of Athens; and 2 brothers, Thomas and Donald; 3 aunts, Julia Warman and Betty Ward of Greenville Jct., and Winnie McCormick of Fairfield; several cousins including a special cousin, Geneva Beckwith and her husband, Norman of Shirley.

Memorial services will be held at 10 AM Friday, January 22, 2010, at Crosby & Neal, 21 Oak Street in Guilford, with Pastor Stephen Dean officiating. Spring burial will be in the Greenville Cemetery.
