JAMES W. MOUNTAIN He was an avid golfer until the last five years, and throughout his life he enjoyed many hunting, brook and ice fishing trips with his father, sons, grandson, and his lifelong friend, Lou Day. He took a lot of pride in his vegetable garden and was always eager to share his gardening tips when asked what the secret was to his green thumb. When his sons’ careers led them to other states to live and raise their families, he enjoyed traveling there and discovering areas of the country he never expected to see. Jim was extremely proud of his two sons, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren, whom he deeply loved. He is survived by his beloved Lillian; two sons, Daniel and wife Shirley of Maryland, Dennis and wife Lilly of Pennsylvania; three grandsons, Chris and wife Bonnie, Andrew and wife Jade, all of Colorado, and Brian of Illinois; two grand-daughters, Amy of Florida and Megan of Pennsylvania; two great grand-daughters, Katrianna and Talisa of Colorado, who were the two twinkles of his eyes; brother, Eugene “Red” Mountain, Jr. and wife Eunice of Dover-Foxcroft; two sister, Marie Gilbert of Dexter and Donna Harkins and husband Daniel of Florida; many nieces, nephews, and countless friends. He was predeceased by sisters Paula, and Priscilla Worden; brothers, Robert and Reginald; and a special brother in law, Robert Gilbert. The family would like to express deepest thanks to Dr. Thomas Murray, the nurses and staff at Mayo Regional Hospital for their excellent professional, skillful and compassionate care provided during his brief stay; Dr. Challa Reddy and staff, the staff of Community Health and Counseling Hospice for their care and support provided to Jim in the last stage of his life, allowing him to live in dignity and comfort to the end.
