OBITUARIES

JEAN (WILDER) WEBSTER
PALMYRA – Jean Webster, 81, died November 14, 2008 at her Spring Hill Road residence. She was born October 26, 1927 in Medford, Massachusetts a daughter of Harry and Margaret (Small) Wilder. Jean moved to Palmyra from Mass. in 1979 with her husband Charlie. He was killed in 1988 in an automobile accident.

Jean had worked as a nurses aide, she was a spinner in Ames Textile Mill in Norton, MA; and retired from Technical Plastics Corp in South Attleboro, MA. Here in Maine, Jean was actively involved in the community and will be remembered as an avid crafter. She was a member of People’s United Methodist Church in Newport, Sebasticook Grange #306; and the East Somerset Pomona Grange #28.

She is survived by her son Ralph and wife Cheryl, and a daughter, Charleen Gordon, all of Palmyra; 5 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Private committal services will be held at Spring Hill Cemetery, Palmyra. Cremation arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport.
