Jeannette Anita Temple Jeannette, along with her three sisters, was educated at St. Joseph’s Academy in South Berwick, a convent run by the Sisters of St. Joseph from Lyon, France. As a young woman Jeannette was an active member of local figure skating clubs that performed throughout the northeast. Highlights included skating at The Boston Garden and Rockefeller Center. She lived most of her life in the central Maine communities of Waterville, Pittsfield, Corinna, St. Albans and Newport. For many years she and her husband owned and operated a poultry farm in Corinna. Jeannette was loved by all who knew her, and she made many lasting friends. Important in her life was her love for her family and her faith in the Lord which provided her much comfort and helped to sustain and enrich her life. A wonderful cook and homemaker, Jeannette enjoyed flower gardening, embroidery and knitting, fashion, car trips, and a great buy at a yard sale. She was predeceased by loving husband Floyd Temple; a daughter Susan Toulouse; and siblings Morton Lessard, Marcinette LaVerdiere, Carmen Tibbetts, and Hope Butler. She is survived by 2 sons, Edward E. Toulouse and his wife Judith of Plymouth and James Toulouse and his wife Alexandra of Cape Elizabeth; a daughter Rosalie Gordon and her husband Thomas of Newport; grandchildren, Suzanne Satterfield and her husband Joe of Bowdoinham, Edward J. Toulouse and his wife Tiffany of Plymouth, Emily Toulouse, Laura Iwane and her husband Naoki all of New York City, Rachel Clukey and her husband Thomas of Westbrook; 4 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Private graveside funeral and committal services will be held in the spring at Palmyra Village Cemetery. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport.
