JONATHAN F. PRESCOTT, III
Jonathan F. Prescott, III ABBOT, Jonathan F. Prescott III, 20, died July 23, 2004 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born January 29, 1984, in Dover-Foxcroft, son of Jon and Darla (Drew) Prescott Jr. He was a 2003 graduate of Piscataquis Community High School in Guilford, where he played soccer and basketball. Soccer was a big part of Jon’s life and he enjoyed coaching the Pee Wee Soccer team in Parkman. Jon was a history major at the University of Southern Maine in Gorham.

He is survived by his father, Jon Prescott Jr. and Roxanne of Abbot; mother and step father, Darla and Larry Bridges of Dover-Foxcroft; paternal grandparents, John and Lois Prescott of Abbot; maternal grandmother, Freda Drew of Hermon; great grandfather, Harold Meade of Dover-Foxcroft; great grandmother, Elizabeth VanDyke of Guilford; 2 sisters, Jaymi and her husband, Dean Sprague, of Guilford, and Jerrica Prescott of Abbot; a special aunt, Debra Morgan of Abbot; several uncles, nieces and nephews, including 2 nieces, Sydney and Kaitlyn Sprague, and nephew Callahan Sprague. He was predeceased by his grandfather, Richard Drew.

Friends may call 5-8 PM Monday, July 26, 2004, at the Abbot Evangelical Free Church in Abbot. Funeral services will be held at the church at 10 AM Tuesday with Pastor Ray Beless and the Rev. Dr. Richard Davis officiating. Burial will be in the Abbot Village Cemetery. Arrangements by Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, Guilford. Those who wish may make donations in his memory to P.C.H.S., 9 Campus Drive, Guilford, ME 04443, for a scholarship for a soccer player to attend college.
