JOSEPH A. R. CAYER, SR.
NEWPORT – Joseph Albert Richard Cayer, Sr., 84, died April 11, 2009 at a Bangor hospital. He was born December 23, 1924 in Amesbury, MA a son of Aime and Alice (Parent) Cayer. He attended Sacred Heart School, graduated from Amesbury High School, and graduated from Lowell Technical College. He owned and operated CADO Fabrications of Amesbury, MA for 42 years. He and his son owned and operated the Palmyra Golf Course.

Joseph loved his wife and children. He was predeceased by his wife of 61 years, June (Curran) Cayer on March 17, 2009. Joseph is survived by his son Joseph “Rick” Cayer, Jr. and wife Lynda of Palmyra; his daughter, Deborah and Wayne Pereira of Steep Falls; his sister, Claire Riopel of Melrose, MA; 7 grandchildren; 1 great grand-daughter.
