JOSEPHINE MILLINGTON DAWSON
HARTLAND – Josephine Millington Dawson, 90, went home to be with the Lord November 9, 2003. She was born August 22, 1913 at Standstead, Quebec, Canada to Austin And Lillian (Millington) Smith. She became a United States citizen August 27, 1948 At Worcester, Mass. She married Walter Prescott Robbins December 4, 1937 at Concord, New Hampshire. She married Roy Eldridge Dawson in Brattleboro, Vermont On August 31, 1951. After his death she has resided in Hartland for the past 25 years. She attended the Hartland Full Gospel Church and enjoyed the outdoors.

Josephine is survived by two sons, Dennis and wife Joan Robbins of East Greenwich, Rhode Island, Neal and wife Irene “Dolly” Robbins of Hartland; a sister, Alice Wells of Orleans, Vermont; 2 brothers, Dean Smith of Newport, Vermont, and Dale “Bucky” Smith of Toronto, Ontario, Canada; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; as well as many nieces And nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by 10 brothers and sisters.

At her request there will be no visitation. A graveside funeral and committal Service will be held 1 PM Thursday, November 13th, at Fairview Cemetery, Canaan, with the Rev. Ronald Parker officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Sunday School program at the Hartland Full Gospel Church, P.O. Box 74, Hartland, ME 04943.
