JUDY (STANCHFIELD) BJORK
DEXTER - Judy (Stanchfield) Bjork, 65, died Sept. 16, 2004, at her home in Dexter after an intense battle with lung and brain cancer. She was born July 13, 1939, in Monson. The daughter of Reat and Ruth (Forbus) Stanchfield. Judy was the spirited sister of Sonny Stanchfield of Palmyra, Doris Clukey of Ripley, Norman, Arnold and Wes Stanchfield, all deceased.

After graduating from Monson Academy in 1957, Judy married Bill Bjork (now deceased) and they had four children; Dyanna Wittman of Windham, Rod Bjork of Greenville, Jennifer Street of Guilford, and Jay Bjork of Lewiston. In addition to being a mom, Judy worked many years doing clerical work for Guilford area businesses and later worked in the home health field before retiring in 2004 due to illness. "Grammy Judy" has six grandchildren who will miss her dearly, John Bjork, 22, Courtney Street, 15, KC Street, 14, Ben Wittman, 14, Evan Bjork, 4 and "Baby" Bjork, due any day! Judy married Dana Sturtevant of Dexter on Aug. 8, 2004. For the past seven years they have enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, playing cribbage and socializing with friends.

A Memorial Service will be conducted 11 a.m. Sept. 25, 2004, at the Monson Community Church. Friends wishing may make donations in her memory to charities of ones choice. Arrangements under the direction of Dan & Scott's Cremation & Funeral Service, 445 Waterville Rd., Skowhegan, ME 04976.
