KATHLEEN N. HAND
CARMEL, Kathleen N. Hand, 79, died January 8, 2005, at a Bangor health care facility. She was born December 22, 1925, in Hampden, the daughter of Fred and Myrtle (Mitchell) Sabin. Kay worked for many years in the shoe manufacturing industry in Pittsfield and in Bangor. She was an active member of the Carmel Union Congregational Church and a member of the Church Guild. She was also a member of the Carmel-Etna Extension, the Carmel Senior Citizens, and a life member of the Carmel Historical Society.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Ernest C. Hand of Carmel; a daughter and her husband, Rebecca and Richard Cormier of Gray; 2 grandsons, Patrick Cormier of Bangor and Michael Cormier of Gray; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held in the spring at the Highland Cemetery in Carmel.
