Kay Lucinda Haley Kay was born May 28, 1947 in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine to the late Manley A. and late Melva M. Haley of Guilford, Maine. She was the first of three girls. Kay graduated from Piscataquis Community High School in 1965. She took classes at Oak Grove School of Vassalboro, Maine and the University of Maine in Orono. She became a certified nurse's aide and worked in Dover, NH. She also had various other jobs in retail and restaurants in Texas and North Carolina. Kay loved to ride horses and ski on water and snow. She was a water ski instructor at T-Ledge camp on Orrs Island, Maine. Kay also loved church activities and was very active in her hometown Methodist Church as well as other churches she attended in Texas and North Carolina. Kay is survived by her younger sister Merry Dennis, brother-in-law Bruce Dennis, nieces Sarah and Catherine Dennis, great niece Alexa Stratton, and nephew Mark Dennis - all from Manchester, CT. Kay is also survived by her youngest sister Jan Carter and brother-in-law Philip Carter of Raleigh, NC. Kay had many cousins and friends. Viewing will be held at the Guilford United Methodist Church at 10 am on Saturday, May 12, 2012. The funeral will follow at 11 am, with Pastor Stephen Dean officiating. Burial will be in the Lawn Cemetery in Guilford. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Guilford Memorial Library Fund, P.O.
