OBITUARIES

KEITH ALBERT BATCHELDER
ABBOT - Keith Albert Batchelder, 78, passed on to be with the Lord Jesus, April 4th, 2010. Keith was at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor at the time of his passing and was surrounded by loved ones. He was born October 1st, 1931 in Stetson, son of Norman and Elsie (Blaisdell) Batchelder. Keith was very proud to have served his country in the US Navy aboard the USS Harveson.

He worked at the Irving Tannery in Hartland for many years. He really enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, wildlife, and bird watching. He very much loved his family and held very dear his friends. Keith was predeceased by his beloved wife of 48 years, Arlene (Russell) Batchelder, and a brother, David Batchelder.

He is survived by a son and his wife, Keith Philip and Deborah Batchelder of Abbot; a foster daughter, Mary Manson of Palmyra; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren; two sisters, Theralin Leavitt and her husband, Earl of Palmyra, and Dorothy Turner and her husband, Hubert of Phippsburg; three brothers, Gary Batchelder of Palmyra, Maurice Batchelder and his wife, Peggy, of Hartland, and Thomas Batchelder and his wife, Joyce, of Skowhegan; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A graveside memorial service with Military Honors will be held at 4 PM, Friday, April 23, 2010 at the Corinna Village Cemetery with Pastor Jesse Stubblefield officiating. Arrangements by Crosby & Neal, Guilford. For an online guest register, go to at www.CrosbyNeal.com.
