KENNETH "SQUIRREL" WINTLE Ken loved to fish and enjoyed a challenging game of cribbage. An avid sports fan, he traveled around the state supporting local teams or sat quietly listening to every play on the radio. He had strong, deep bonds with his family and friends. Anyone who knew Ken well will remember his smile, sense of humor, and simple love of life. He moved to St. Albans from Dexter in 1998. Ken is survived by four sons and their families: Larry and wife Barbara of St. Albans, Paul and wife Darlene of Pittsfield, Peter and wife Susan of Augusta, and Dennis and wife Joanne of Apopka, Florida; 13grandchildren, Donna, “Butch”, Cathy, Kelly, Kim, Kevin, Mary, Brian, John, Sarah, Adam, Matthew, and Alan; 8 great-grandchildren, Melissa, Larry, Sapphire, Sara, Chad, Justin, Jenna, and Tyler. He is also survived by three brothers, James “Jimmy” Wintle, Robert “Pop” Wintle and Roger “Gee” Wintle, all of Dexter. Kenneth leaves behind a very special companion Isabelle Millette of St. Albans. Kenneth was predeceased by his son Ronnie; siblings Victor Wintle, Francis ‘Hank’ Wintle , Frederick “Laddy” Wintle, Bernice “Bunny” Chambers, Evelyn “Lee Lee” Bush, Madeleine “Billy” Walker and Rebecca “Becky” Parkman. Visiting hours will be held 6 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, August 6th, at Crosby & Neal, 61Main Street, Dexter. A graveside committal service will be held at 3:00 PM Thurs. August 7th at Morse’s Corner Cemetery, Corinna, with the Rev. Margo Carmines officiating. Following the service, there will be a gathering at the Knights of Columbus Hall, Rt. 7 in Dexter, for a time of remembrance. In lieu of flowers, donations in Kenneth’s name may be made to the Dexter Regional High School Football Boosters, 12 Abbot Hill Rd, Dexter, ME 04930.
