LEANN B. WITHEE
DOVER-FOXCROFT - LeAnn B. Withee, 43, beloved wife of Paul J. Withee, died April 20, 2006, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Aug. 10, 1962, in Beverly, Mass., the daughter of Frank W. and Carol (Lensky) Buzzell. LeAnn worked as an educator in Sanford, Parkman, and Dexter Primary School as a literacy coach, until recently when she became a university trainer for the Maine Literacy Partnership at the University of Maine. LeAnn was passionate about education and was excited to be able to work with area Maine schools in her new position. She quickly won the respect and admiration of Maine's literacy coaches and the university staff she worked with. LeAnn loved reading, the outdoors, walking, cross country skiing and her latest passion, kayaking on Maine's lakes and rivers. LeAnn will be especially missed by her special friends, Sharon Imbert and Kim DeSisto, and the members of the Tea Totalers Club.

She is survived by her husband, Paul; and her cherished children, Joshua and Courtney, all of Dover-Foxcroft; her father and stepmother, Frank Buzzell and Karen McCormack of Delray Beach, Fla.; her mother-in-law, Shirley Withee of Skowhegan; her sister, Jamie Durkee and her husband, Jeff, of Stetson; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Glyn Withee, Karen Withee, Kevin and Suzanne Withee, Tracey and Jim Steuber, Kelly and Steve Harper, Gary and Dori Withee, John Withee; along with many nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts and cousins.

Friends are invited to call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, April 24, at the Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft. Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 25, at the Dover-Foxcroft Congregational Church, with the Rev. Ernest Campbell and Pastor Marilyn Sargent officiating. Following cremation, burial will be in the Dover Cemetery.
