LESLIE J. LOVELY
NEWPORT - Leslie J. Lovley, 76, died April 19, 2004 at a Pittsfield hospital. He was born April 6, 1928 at Washburn, a son of Clarence and Una (Boulier) Lovley. Les was a well-known area businessman for the past 40 years. He was a former trustee of the Carmel Union Congregational Church and was an avid golfer and bowler.

He is survived by his wife, Gail of Newport and Lake Worth, FL; his children, Linda and husband Tom Walsh of Sunset Key, FL, Gregory and wife Deborah Lovley of Newport, Scott and wife Jeri Lovley of Plymouth and Donald Davis, III of Corinna; 2 brothers, Duane and wife Doris Ann Lovley of Newport and Merwyn and wife Judy Lovley of Hermon; 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Gayle Adams.

Relatives and invited guests may call 6 to 8 P.M., Thursday, April 22nd at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 117 Main Street, Newport, where funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Friday with Pastor Al H. Worden officiating. Burial will be at the Highland Cemetery, Carmel, later in the spring.
