OBITUARIES

LESTER V. BOYCE, JR.
Lester Boyce Jr DOVER-FOXCROFT - Lester V. Boyce Jr., 57, died unexpectedly Jan. 18, 2007, at a local hospital. Born June 11, 1947, in Spencer, Lester was the first born son of Lester V. Sr. and Barbara L. (Woodard) Boyce. Lester was an avid sports fan and dedicated most of his time to coaching local children in numerous sports. Although it was often difficult for him to get around after losing his leg to diabetes, he was determined to coach the kids. He will be dearly missed by all those he had coached. He also had a great love for music and a passion for books. He loved to read, and even though his vision had been affected by diabetes, he would get books with large print.

He is survived by his mother, Barbara Boyce; three sisters and a brother, Patricia Voter, Marlene Lord and her husband, Roy, Ray Boyce and his wife, Barbara, all of Dover-Foxcroft, and Donna Ricker and her husband, Brian, of Sebec; a son-in-law, Dexter Voter of Dover-Foxcroft; and many other relatives too numerous to mention. He will be remembered by his close friends, Kevin McDonald, Kathy Sage, Ralph Lewis, Bobby Hersey, and his good friend and fellow coach, Butch Larrabee.

Graveside memorial services will be held in the family lot at Dover Cemetery in the spring. Arrangements are in the care of Lary Funeral Home.
