Lewis E. Norris
PLYMOUTH – Lewis E. Norris, 76, died October 26, 2012 at his residence. He was born August 20, 1936 in Detroit, a son of Roland and Flora (Jackson) Norris. On October 15, 1960, he married Lois Shorey. He was employed as a hand sewer at Dexter Shoe Company and later as a truck driver for Cole’s Express. He served in the National Guard. Lewis was member of the Emmanuel Bible Baptist Church in Plymouth.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was very dedicated to his family.

He is survived by his wife and fishing partner of 52 years, Lois Norris of Plymouth; 5 sons, Mark, Stanley and wife Cindy, all of Plymouth, Steven and wife Maggie of Stetson, Kevin and wife Lori of Palmyra; Karl Norris and Starr Pombrio of Clifton Park, NY; 2 brothers, Charles of Plymouth and Linzy of Bangor; 2 sisters, Janet Waning of Dixmont, and Kathleen Shorey of Hawthorne, Nevada; 20 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Ermine Rines.

Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Tuesday, October 30th, at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main Street, Newport, with the Rev. Robert Emrich officiating.

Friends may call from 10 A.M. until the time of services. Burial will be in the Sawyer Cemetery, Plymouth. Memorial donations may be made to the Emmanuel Bible Baptist Church, P. O. Box 62, Plymouth, ME 04969. Those who wish may leave written condolences at www.CrosbyNeal.com
