OBITUARIES

LLOYD G. CARTWRIGHT
KEY LARGO, Fla. - Lloyd G. Cartwright passed away July 13, 2010, at his home. He was born Dec. 9, 1950, in Guilford. He loved the woods and mountains of his roots in Maine, and lavished in the tropical breezes of the Florida Keys.

He was skipper of the 18th Tee Volunteer Marshalls at Doral for 20 years; past president of Maine Trappers Association; instrumental in the development of surgical swab tests kits for Hardwood Products Co., Guilford; and a member of Florida Board of Realtors.

No truer statement can be made than he never met a stranger. We will miss you, Hoss.

He was predeceased by his father, Edgar C. Cartwright; and sister, Pamela Cartwright Fountain. Survivors include his mother, Gwendolyn Cartwright Wingert and stepfather, Dr. J. Paul Wingert, of Stuart, Fla.; brothers, Lance of Bangor and Kim and wife, Brenda Cartwright, of Ellsworth; former wife, Catherine Blondell of Miami; along with nieces, nephews and numerous family members and friends.

A private family service will be held Sunday, July 17, in Stuart, Fla.

Donations may be made in his memory to The American Diabetes Association , 1701 N. Beauregard St., Alexandria, VA 22311.
