MABEL F. HUDSON
DOVER-FOXCROFT and SKOWHEGAN - Mabel F. Hudson, 91, wife of the late George J. Hudson, died Jan. 29, 2003, at a Skowhegan hospital. She was born Aug. 18, 1911, in Dracut, Mass., the daughter of Charles and Annie (Stuart) Chandler. Prior to moving to Dover-Foxcroft, she lived in Dover, N.H., for 35 years, and in Candia, N.H., for 20 years. While in Candia, she taught Sunday school classes at the Candia Congregational Church. She had been employed as a bookkeeper at a Dover, N.H., auto dealership, and at the former Sawyer's Mills, also in Dover, N.H. While in Dover-Foxcroft, she was a member of the United Baptist Church and the Mission Circle.

Mrs. Hudson is survived by a son, James H. Hudson and his wife, Janice, of Manchester, N.H.; a daughter, Anne Doody and her husband, Maynard, of Sinclair; a brother, Charles Chandler of Dover, N.H.; a sister, Florence Leighton of Port Angeles, Wash.; five grandchildren, Heather Brountas, Meredith Stern, Peter Bigelow, Theodore Hudson and David Hudson; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Warren and Howard Chandler; and a grandson, Gregory Hudson.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31, 2003, at the Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft, with the Rev. David McLeish officiating. Spring interment will be in the family lot in Rural Grove Cemetery, Dover-Foxcroft. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the charity of one's choice.
