MADELINE EVELYN BUBAR
PALMYRA - Madeline Evelyn Bubar, 90, died March 1, 2001 at a Pittsfield hospital. She was born September 30, 1910 at Canterbury, New Brunswick, Canada, the daughter of Earl and Catherine (Wright) Dickinson. She graduated from Canterbury High School and Houlton Business College. She was employed as a bookkeeper for J. A. Brown & Company of Houlton, and was also assistant librarian at Pittsfield Library. Madeline also assisted her husband Milton in the management of their real estate development company. She was a past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the First Baptist Church of Pittsfield and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Newport. Madeline was a lifelong member of the Rebekahs and the Grange, and was a former member of the Pythian Sisters.

She was predeceased by Milton on October 29, 1999. She is survived by 2 daughters, Kathryn Marsh and her husband Eric of Camden, Virginia Hopkins and her husband Dale of Etna; 3 sons, Richard Bubar and his wife Marian of Newport, Clifford Bubar and his wife Lee-Ellen of Lakeland, FL, and Weston Bubar and wife Carmela of Hartland; 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren.

Friends may call 6-8 P.M. Wednesday at Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 117 Main Street, Newport, where funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Thursday, March 8th, with the Rev. Michael Stephenson and the Rev. William Stone officiating. Spring burial will be in Corinna Village Cemetery.
