MADELINE H. REARDON
HARTLAND & DEXTER – Madeline H. Reardon, 87, died March 24, 2008 at a Charlton, Mass. health care center. She was born July 8, 1920 at
Hartland a daughter of Wallace and Mamie (Spaulding) Cook. She graduated from Hartland Academy, Class of 1939 and had worked at the Jamesbury
Valve Company in Worcester, MA for many years, retiring in 1981. Madeline returned to Maine in 1986 and attended the People’s United Methodist Church in Newport and the Ripley United Methodist Church. She was a member of Nokomis Chapter # 42, Order of The Eastern Star, and had served as Past Matron in Newport and East Douglas, Mass. She was predeceased by her husband Paul in 1974, as well as a brother Roland Cook and a sister, Maxine Manson.
She is survived by 3 sons, Galen of Tennessee, Ronald of Zephyrhills, FL, and Dennis of Pennsylvania; a daughter, Sheryl Polichak of Dexter; and a sister, Shirley Staples of Farmingdale; 12 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 6- 8 PM Sunday at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main Street, Newport, where an Eastern Star service will be held at 7 PM. Funeral services will be held 10 AM Monday, March 31, at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Joseph Samai officiating. Spring burial will be in the family lot, Maloon Cemetery, St. Albans.
