OBITUARIES

Margaret E. Dyer
GUILFORD- Margaret E. Dyer, 89, passed away peacefully July 21, 2013 at Westgate Manor in Bangor, after a long fulfilling life. She was born September 7, 1923, in Passadumkeag, the daughter of Harry and Flossie (McFarland) Doane.

Margaret grew up in Costigan. She raised her family in Sangerville while working at the woolen mill in Guilford. She then moved to Guilford and worked at Pride Manufacturing. She lived at Riverbend Homes for many years before moving to the Phillips Strickland house in Bangor and then to Westgate Manor.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Ralph Flanders, her second husband, Lloyd Dyer; a son, Roger Flanders; a grandson, Dennis Ralph Flanders; brothers, Edwin, Ralph, Alvin, and Dana Doane; and sisters, Joan Jackson, and Bessie Robinson.

She is survived by her sisters, Pat Abbott, Beatrice Doane, Frances Wiegersma, Marie Haseltine and husband Clair; her brother, Hugh Doane; grandson and wife, Brian and Jenny Flanders; granddaughter and husband, Lorri and Stanley St Pierre; and great granddaughter, Ashley Daigle.

Margaret will be remembered for her love of music, singing, card games, famous fudge at Christmas time, family favorite cookies; and most of all loving people.

Graveside services will be held Monday, July 29, 2013 at 12 noon, at the Village Cemetery in Sangerville.
