OBITUARIES

MARGUERITE L. CARR
DEXTER AND SANGERVILLE- Marguerite L. Carr, 83, died September 17, 2008, at Mayo Regional Hospital in Dover-Foxcroft. She was born June 11, 1925, in Parkman, daughter of William and Flora (Clement) Elderkin.

She served as a WAC in the US Army during WW II, and was a member of the Stott Flanders American Legion Post in Sangerville. She worked for many years at Eastland Woolen Mill in Corinna, and wrote the local N. Dexter news for the Eastern Gazette. She enjoyed fishing and hunting and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by a son, Roderick Carr and his wife, Sharon of Lincoln; 2 grandsons, James Carr and his wife, Mary, and Christopher Carr and his wife, Michelle and their children, Mikayla and Christa, all of Pittsfield. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Carr; and 2 brothers, Maynard and Harvey Elderkin.

Friends may call Friday, September 19, 2008 from 6 to 8 PM, at Crosby & Neal, 21 Oak Street in Guilford. Graveside services will be held 10 AM, Saturday, at Pingree Center Cemetery in Parkman with Pastor Kevin Stevens officiating.
