MARY E. SMITH
GUILFORD AND GARLAND, Mary E. Smith, 56, died March 1, 2004, at her home in Guilford. She was born September 4, 1947, in Dover-Foxcroft, daughter of George and Dorothy (Ridley) Crosby. She worked for Dexter Shoe in Dexter and Newport for many years.

She is survived by a son, Bruce Smith and fiancé Kacy Corson of Garland; a daughter, Tressa and her husband Richard Gudroe of Dexter; 3 brothers, Philip Crosby of Arizona, Harold Crosby of Guilford, and Robert and Linda Crosby of Dover-Foxcroft; a sister, Beverly Terrill of Presque Isle; 5 grandchildren, Justin Gudroe, Jordan Corson, Trevor Smith, Kyle Collins and Abigail Smith; a special friend, Michelle Kirk; nieces and nephews; an aunt, Marion Lovell of Guilford. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold Smith, and a sister, Linda McInnis.

Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday March 4, 2004 at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 61 Main St., in Dexter. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Lois Field officiating. Graveside committal services will be held 9 AM, Tuesday May 4, 2004, at the West Garland Cemetery with Pastor Lois Field officiating.
