MARY JANE (TOWLE) KENNEDY
SKOWHEGAN & DEXTER – Mary Jane Kennedy, 61, died May 29, 2008 at her Skowhegan residence. She was born July 17, 1946 at Dexter a daughter of Roy and Ruby (Avery) Towle. She graduated from Dexter High School, Class of 1964, and attended Aroostook State Normal School. Mary Jane was employed at Eastland Woolen Mill in Corinna and was later a Certified Nurses Aide at Dexter Nursing Home. She will also be remembered for owning and operating the gift Shop, Odd Necessities.

In addition to her mother Ruby, she is survived by a son, Roy of Skowhegan; and many cousins, including special cousins, Diane Lessard and Leon and Nancy Towle. She was predeceased by her father, her husband, Howard, andspecial friend Joanne Willey.

A memorial service will be held 2 PM Thursday at the Newport VFW Hall, West Street, Newport, with the Department of Maine Ladies Auxiliary conducting the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Oncology Department of Redington-Fairview Hospital, 46 Fairview Avenue, Skowhegan, ME 04976. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport.
