OBITUARIES

MARY PATRICIA COOK
GREENVILLE JCT- Mary Patricia (Richards) Cook, 90, passed away peacefully March 15, 2008, at Charles A. Dean Memorial Hospital in Greenville Maine. She was the daughter of John P. (Jack) Richards Sr. and Jean Maddox Richards of Greenville and Kokadjo. Mary was a lifelong Greenville resident and graduated from Greenville High School. She was a 77 year member of the PeopleÂ’s United Methodist Church, and was a member of the Eastern Star, Rainbow Girls, and the Rebekahs. Many people will remember Mary as the “popcorn lady” at the Moosehead Theater. Mary was proudest of the awards she received from the Charles A Dean Nursing Home for volunteer activities which she continued until she was no longer able to attend in her late 80s.

She is survived by her sister Ethel Leach of State College, PA, her son Richard and daughter-in-law Christine, of San Mateo CA, and many family members and friends. The loving care she received from her niece Jaci and her husband, Rod Gaudet and friends like Earl Richardson Jr.’s family helped her to live a long and enjoyable life in her own home. Neighbors like the Aucoin family and her friends from church and service groups added much to her sense of love from the community.

In accordance with her wishes, a graveside service will be held on August 9, 2008, at Greenville Cemetery where she shall be interred beside her husband of more than 50 years, Arland A. (Beau) Cook. Memorials in her name may be sent to the People’s United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 37, Greenville Jct., ME 04442. Arrangements by Crosby & Neal, Greenville.
