Maxine "Jo" Harding She attended Newport High School. She worked as a teacher and a waitress for many years before working at Striar's Woolen Mill in Corinna and Dexter Shoe Co. in Newport until retirement. She belonged to several clubs and organizations in her earlier years. Maxine was an avid bingo player and enjoyed socializing with all of her family and friends. She also loved to go fishing and camping with her family. Maxine is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Floyd Harding; a son, Norman Harding and his wife, Leona of Rockwood; and daughter, Mary Tufts of Stetson. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren, Steven Harding of FL, Jason Harding of RI, and Amanda Sibley and her husband, Gary of Stetson; 6 great grandchildren, Matthew Sibley, Victoria Harding, Elizabeth Harding, Makayla Sibley, Jamison Harding, and Mallory Sibley; 3 sisters-in-law, Flora Graves, Arlene Graves, Pauline Harding; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 7 brothers and sisters, Neil Graves, Herbert Graves, Kenneth Graves, John Graves, Charles Graves II, Olive Sargent, and Gladys Merrill. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. At Maxine's request, we invite family and friends to share in a celebration of her life in their home at 1100 Mullen Rd. in Stetson on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 4 pm.
