MAYNARD E. SHAW
DOVER-FOXCROFT Maynard E. Shaw, 78, husband of the late Winifred R. (Murphy) Shaw, went to be with the Lord Jan. 9, 2003, at a local nursing home. He was born June 24, 1924, in Mars Hill, the son of Clarence and Rose W. (Pratt) Shaw. In 1957, Maynard moved from Warren to Bangor, where he retired from Cole's Express after 25 years of service. He was predeceased by his wife and life partner, Winifred, in 1998.

He is survived by a daughter, Joyce E. McKenney of Hermon; a brother, Edward Shaw and his wife, Beverly, of Rockland; a sister-in-law, Madeline Shaw of Rockland; five beloved grandchildren and eight beloved great-grandchildren. Maynard's family extends a special thank you to Hibbard Nursing Home and it's staff for the fine care he received.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, 2003, at the Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft, with Pastor Isaiah Hill officiating. A reception will follow at the home of Mark and Rebecca Brunton in Hermon. Spring burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Hampden. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sebec Corner Baptist Church, 285 Milo Road, Sebec 04481.
