M. D. Irene Maillet
CORINNA – Marie Delia Irene (Poirier) Maillet, 98, died May 28, 2013 at a Houlton health care facility. She was born May 20, 1915 in East Hartford, CT, a daughter of Epiphane and Philomen (Dube) Poirier. Irene and her husband Albert moved to Corinna in 1974. She was a communicant of St. Annes Catholic Church in Dexter. Irene will be remembered for her love of cats.

She was predeceased by her first husband Henry Greenwood, her second husband, Albert Maillet, as well a brother and 5 sisters.

Irene is survived by a brother, Alphonse and wife Therese Poirior of Malartic, Quebec; a sister, Marie Anne Poirier of Laval,Quebec; several nieces and nephews, including a special niece Rina Cloutier of Stacyville. Irene had many friends in Corinna, including special friends, Louise Irish, Irene and Richard Archer, and Dalton and Donna Mullis.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1 P.M. Tuesday, June 4th, at St. Anne’s Church, 64 Free Street, Dexter, with the Rev. Fr. Paul Murray officiating. Friends may call at the church from noon until the time of services. Burial will be in Morse’s Corner Cemetery, Corinna. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Annes Church Building Fund, P. O. Box 193, Dexter, ME 04930. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal Chapel, 68 Exeter Road, Corinna.
